Purchased by The St. Clair Company in 1997, the Canyon Meadows property is comprised of 546.2 acres located along the southwestern border of the City of Chino Hills. The property extends from Carbon Canyon Road near the community of Sleepy Hollow in the northwest to Soquel Canyon in the southwest. The site is characterized by well-defined topography that ranges from rolling grass-covered hills to steeper ridges and canyons that include mature oak and natural vegetation. The most prominent topographic feature is the central rides that separate the site into northwestern canyons and mesas draining into Carbon Canyon, and southwestern and southern canyons and mesas draining into Soquel canyon. Due to these features, the site offers a range of mountains and canyon vistas. As developer of this project, The St. Clair Company worked with the City to approve a 114 lot subdivision that included large semi-custom lots, common equestrian facilities, open space preservation and extensive landscaping throughout. The project included the preparation of final maps and final Engineering Plans and Landscaping Plans, a municipal sewer lift station and force main, as well as public streets and utilities.
