The 74.5 acre Chester Airport Business Center is located along State Highway 36 within the Town of Chester, California. Chester is located in the northeastern portion of California approximately 30 miles from the City of Susanville, 90 miles from Reno, 120 miles from Sacramento, and 185 miles from the San Francisco bay area. The town of Chester currently provides services to the timber industry and growing tourist and recreation activities around Lake Almanor. The Lake Almanor area is rich in history and is known for its abundance of second-home properties that have been built both along the lake frontage and within larger golf oriented master planned communities. With direct access to State Highway 36 and the adjacent Chester Airport taxiway, the Chester Airport Business Center has the unique opportunity to establish an airport related mixed-use project that combines runway access with commercial, industrial and work/live product in a manner that is complementary to Chester’s small town character.
The goal of the Chester Airport Business Center’s design is to create a development that promotes a distinct and vibrant mixed-use business center organized around streets, parks and plazas.
